Russian occupiers shelled Marhanets in the Dnipropetrovsk region using artillery. As a result of the enemy attack, a fire broke out in the city, with damage and destruction to many buildings, and there are also casualties.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Serhiy Lysak.

The official stated this morning that the Russian army had been shelling the city with artillery since the evening of February 16.

"Four people were injured: a 64-year-old woman and three men aged 22, 26, and 54. One of the injured is hospitalized in moderate condition," the head of the regional administration informed.

Shelling in the Dnipropetrovsk region

It is noteworthy that the Dnipropetrovsk region frequently suffers from shelling by Russian invaders. Cities like Dnipro and Nikopol, as well as the Nikopol district (which includes Marhanets), are regularly targeted.

Furthermore, it should be noted that Russian forces attack Nikopol and the surrounding area from the temporarily occupied Enerhodar in the Zaporizhzhia region, where the enemy-occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is located.

Previously, it was reported that on February 14, the Russian forces also shelled the Nikopol district. As a result of the shelling, residential infrastructure was damaged.

Before that, on February 9, an accident occurred in the Dnipropetrovsk region due to Russian shelling, leaving people without gas.
