In just one day, police dismantled nearly fifty schemes for the illegal crossing of the border by conscript-age men across 22 regions of Ukraine. Law enforcement officials issued over 60 suspicions.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the National Police.

The criminal network was uncovered by investigators from the National Police, operatives from the Department of Strategic Investigations, in collaboration with the State Border Guard Service, prosecutors, and the Office of the Prosecutor General, with the involvement of TCC and SPC staff.

Among the identified schemes were: smuggling across non-border crossing points, forgery of health documents, fictitious entries in the "Shliakh" information system, and others. Participants and organizers of the schemes included heads of hospitals at various levels, officials from TCC, MSEC, and VVK, as well as civilians.

Potential "clients" were sought through acquaintances and closed Telegram channels. Such "services" cost between 5,000 and 22,000 dollars, depending on the chosen method of illegal border crossing.

The police noted that the money obtained was laundered through the purchase of vehicles and real estate, and in some cases, transferred to offshore accounts.

Investigators announced 60 suspicions for the illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine. Those suspected include both executors and organizers, including heads of state institutions at various levels. The actions of the suspects are classified under part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine).

Suspects face up to nine years in prison with confiscation of property and deprivation of the right to hold certain positions.

As noted by the police, the perpetrators facilitated the crossing of hundreds of conscripts through their channels.
